Our mission is simple and focused at CotingaSoft--writing software. We could do a million other things in technology, but that would only distract us. Software can be complex and painful if you are not dedicated to the craft. Every aspect of our company is committed to developing software faster, smarter, safer and easier for our clients.

Applications for small to medium sized businesses and organizations are our primary skill. Over eight years of experience has lead us through projects in the medical, banking, legal and other specialized business fields. With each of these projects we gained a detailed knowledge of each customer's field and needs to deliver a final project.

By sticking to good business practices and solid engineering techniques, CotingaSoft delivers results every time.

Barrett Conrad is the principal of CotingaSoft. He is a graduate of the Computer Science program of Tulane University's School of Engineering. Barrett's career spans software development in multiple fields and environments. The majority of his experience is working directly with people to develop their business applications and websites. While keeping up with the latest technologies and trends for software and the web, Barrett also dedicates much of his time to studying the process and techniques for developing software.

What's in a name?

Are you curious where the company name comes from? That's ok. We get that a lot. Cotingas are a family of birds found throughout Latin America. The ancient Aztecs of Mexico cherished the birds for their bright blue feathers. The Codex Mendoza shows how major cities demanded the birds as tribute from conquered cities. (See Folio 47 recto.) The rarity and uniqueness of the cotinga is the source of is reverence. We hope to prove the same to you.
